Okay, this wasn’t their fault entirely, but they were the joint protagonist in a night that many Imps’ fans will want to forget despite us not actually losing.
Our clash earlier this season saw us draw 2-2, gifting them a couple of goals and turning in a tepid performance. After the game, Danny Cowley raged at the our own staff, with the pitch not being watered after the water had been switched off.
It was an embarrassing situation in a game we should have won. It wasn’t purely because of the water, but Carlisle certainly benefitted from a host of circumstances including bad defending and bad officials.
One to forget.
