Thanks, No Thanks – Swindon Town

It’s been a while since I’ve got one of these out, but I have found ten minutes at the end of the day that I can fill with content creation, just for you.

The Imps and Swindon have an interesting history, only meeting on six occasions since the early eighties, but being regular adversaries through the seventies. In 1978/79 they hammered us with an aggregate score of 9-0, but they have only beaten us once in the modern age. Indeed, we have only played them 20 times, with the Imps winning five, three of those from our last six meetings.

Tomorrow, given the league positions of the two clubs, we will surely be hoping for a result, but nothing is a given. We’re likely to see a familiar face in their ranks too, which is where I want to start my round-up of reasons to thank Swindon, and reasons to give them a big no thanks. Do you agree with my choices? if you do, make sure you head over to our forum to comment.

This isn’t on the list, but thanks for the late fumble against ten men – Courtesy of Graham Burrell
