City got back on the winning trail last night, securing a fine 4-0 victory against a below-par MK Dons.
After a tepid, below-par first half from both sides, the Imps sprung into life, with Brennan Johnson scoring the fastest domestic hat trick of the season, with three inside quarter of an hour in the second half. His first came from a lovely ball from Morgan Rogers, with the Manchester City man also providing the second. The third came from the penalty spot after Johnson’s cross saw Rogers manhandled to the floor, and it was Rogers again fouled ahead of the free-kick from which we scored the fourth.
