ST: Tom Hopper

Earlier today, I told my dad we needed a midfielder, and his immediate retort was ‘we need a bloody striker’. We may do, but remember Ben House, Charley Kendall and Freddie Draper are all with the quad, not to mention Jovon Makama. I do agree; we may need a more experienced striker to lead the line, but we do have Hops. He is the same striker who fired us to Wembley with goals in both play-off semi-finals against Sunderland. He’s the player we missed so badly when injured last season, and who I don’t think ever got back to fitness. He’s still one we can rely on to work hard and battle, and if we do have the right midfielder paying with him (remember when Johnson played ten and overlapped?), then we wouldn’t be in terrible shape.
