CM: Max Sanders

I’ve dropped Max in next, and he would play whether it was a 4-1-2-3, or a 4-2-3-1. I think he could be this season’s Conor McGrandles, capable of playing more advanced, or alongside a holding midfielder. Max has had it rough at City; he definitely wasn’t in Michael Appleton’s plans, but I wonder if he might get a new lease of life under Mark Kennedy. I recall the situation of Peter Gain, out of favour under Alan Buckley, but a key player under Big Keith. Max is a different position, but the outcome could be the same.
