We’re not going to kick off tomorrow, but we will kick off in five weeks.
On Friday, the boys returned to the training ground, and tomorrow is a full day of training back at the EPC. That means Mark Kennedy has five weeks to add to his squad, fine-tune the approach and deliver a successful season to Imps fans. What would success look like right now? Me, being a pessimist, thinks anything 20th or above. In my recent article, I showed a little pessimism, and a few people picked up on that. I guess I’ve fallen foul of the whole ‘we haven’t signed anyone’ thing, and to demonstrate that we’re not in a terrible place, I’ve decided to put together a current first team.
This team is without Liam Bridcutt, who is still not certain to remain at the club. It is also without Scully and Bramall, both linked with moves away from the club. It is also a bit of fun, just to add perspective and underline that we have a half-decent squad, even if it’s obvious we need to add some faces. Without further ado, here is the Lincoln City first-team squad as things stand today, in my opinion.
