Most Goals Per Start

I found this interesting, not least because it probably tells you as much about Peter Jackson’s tenure as it does anything. In terms of goals per start, Adrian Patulea was the most prolific leading scorer the Imps have had. He scored 11 goals and made just 17 starts, with a further 14 appearances coming from the bench. It is important to note this is a skewed statistic because he didn’t necessarily score those goals when he started matches – he actually scored seven in his 17 starts, but in terms of total goals to starts, it is a standout stat.
Davide Somma, naturally, is second, Grimes third, and Ben Wright fourth. The goals from open play table is similar, Patulea and Somma are the top two, Ben Wright third, with Grimes and Yeo completing the top five.
