Welcome to the second of our podcasts in association with the Former Players Association.
It’s numbered 5, as we have previously spoken to Gavin Gordon, Mark Hone & Roger Holmes. However, this is the second in a new series hosted by Gary and former Lincoln City player Paul De Garis, following on from Matt Carmichael.
Simon John Yeo had two spells with the Imps, the first from 2002-2005 and the second at the start of 2006. He scored 58 goals in 158 games, including 21 league goals in 2004/05, the last time a player achieved the fabled 20 goals a season for City in the Football League. Is he best known for the leveller against Torquay or the brace against Scunthorpe? Maybe it was the winner at Glanford Park in the second leg of the play-offs or the hat trick at Grimsby. There are too many great Simon Yeo moments!
Hear him talk about the Gaffer, Keith, and the influence he had on Simon’s life. He’s tackling some of the red cards and doesn’t hold back on one member of the 2002/03 squad.
