Worst Performance – Leyton Orient (7.00)

I never thought the worst performance of the month would ever be a win, but it is. The recent win against Orient, a hard-fought game in which the opposition did their homework, has got the lowest rating this month.

How bad was December, when the best performance didn’t reach the same levels as the worst in March? It’s obviously a massive testament to the quality we’ve served up in March. Not only that, but it would have won best performance twice during the 2021/22 season!

Best Performance – Cambridge United (7.86)

We won 6-0. It’s our first 6-0 win at home in years (I forget the last one), and it was a night to cherish, one where the opposition was completely blown away. In your opinion, it was our best performance in the league this season, and hapless Cambridge must be about sick of us – the 5-1 win at their place in 2021/22 was also a performance of the month.

In a month where you win 5-1 at Oakwell and twice hit more than five at home, picking the best performance wasn’t easy, I’m sure, but for the record, Barnsley was next (7.73) and Bristol Rovers third (7.68).

Best Individual Performance – Jack Moylan v Barnsley (9.30)

What a day it was at Oakwell. It was a huge win for City, sparking a three-game period the likes of which have never been seen at the club. The undoubted star of that show was Jack Moylan, who entered the fray and ripped Barnsley to pieces with a sensational solo display. He bagged two, set up Makama’s third, and was a general nuisance the entire afternoon.

It hinted at a big future for the winter signing, and he was rightly lifted onto the shoulders of his teammates after a spectacular solo display.
