Sheffield United in the League Cup

It would be remiss of me not to include something from August, a month that gave me so much hope for the future. Who knows, if we hadn’t lost Ben House and Tyler Walker when we did, things might have been very different. However, the opening month of the season culminated in a trip to Bramall Lane, and a fine win on penalties for the Imps.
It was a great night from start to finish. A resilient City backed by a healthy crowd, the penalties, Jensen recovering from their keeper throwing the water bottle away, and then drawing West Ham on the way home. I could argue the West Ham performance was even better, but we lost that game, whereas this one had us delighted on the journey home.
This was the one that finally changed my mind about the League Cup.
