Another Signed Imps Shirt Available For Charity Auction

oplus_34

Last week, I put up a signed Imps shirt for auction for charity.

As some of you know, on September 1st, Dad and I, along with others, will be walking from Bardney to Wragby for Cancer Research. There are a few people joining us: Imps fan Claire Hunsley, for one, as well as others. It’s all in aid of a charity my dad has a lot of belief in after his recent journey. In brief, my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in September, and thanks to the skill of our beloved NHS, he was clear of it by Valentine’s Day.

The signed shirt was generously purchased by Mark Torkington, who I shall present it to on Saturday, for the incredible sum of £165. That’s pushed us towards the £1500 mark, a huge amount, and thanks to another SW reader’s generosity, we’re going to auction another shirt off!

A huge thanks to Richard Harvey, who has donated not one but two match-worn shirts for us to auction off. The first one is now on eBay.

The Shirt

We now have a match worn, signed, TJ Eyoma shirt up for auction. He’s picture in it above, but we’ve got it right now, courtesy of Richard.

You can find details of the eBay listing here.

Every penny from this shirt will go into the fund for Cancer Research. If you wish to read the full story that has prompted the walk, you can find it on my personal site, here.

The Walk

The walk is around seven miles long and suitable for anyone. We’re asking anyone free on the day who wants to raise money for Cancer Research to join us, come and enjoy the beautiful countryside with us. All we ask is that you share the Just Giving page we’ve set up and raise £20 of your own. Also, let me know (gazhutch88@gmail.com) if you’re joining us as a fundraiser, and I can add you to the list of those taking part. I can also liaise with you closer to the time about lifts, as we’re not expecting anyone to walk back to get their car!

Our aim is to raise £500 more than £1000 £1500, and we’re almost there!

The Bardney to Wragby walk used to be an annual event, and who knows, if this one is a success, perhaps we can come together as a town and raise money for a good cause every year.
