Ahead of the trip to Leyton Orient, manager Michael Skubala revealed one of our injured players will be out for longer than anticipated.
Tom Hamer, Tyler Walker and Jack Moylan are all out and not expected back, as is Sheffield Wednesday loanee Bailey Cadamarteri. He was last seen for the final ten minutes of our EFL Trophy defeat against Bolton Wanderers and was expected to have a short spell out.

However, Michael Skubala has admitted that he may now have a slightly extended stint on the sidelines.
“He’s gone back for another scan today, so we’re still assessing. He’s quite a bit off, and we’re not 100 percent sure yet when he’ll be back. It’s probably taking a little longer than we initially thought, but we should know more next week as we track his recovery.”
He’s not the only player likely to be out – Ethan Erhahon is also on the sidleines, while Tom Bayliss has missed training this week as well.
“With a three-game week ahead, changes will come in either the first, second, or third game—we’re going to need everybody. A couple of injuries have affected us. Ethan Erehan is looking at six to eight weeks out, which is a big miss since he’s been ever-present for us.
“The good news is that Tom Hamer is back on the grass and starting to rejoin training, which is great. But there are still a few niggles from last week’s game. A couple of players have missed some time this week, and Tom Bayliss had to come off with a tight hamstring, missing the start of training.”

However, the deep squad means we should be able to cover these absences. Bayliss potentially being injured is a blow, as Joe Gardner misses out through suspension, and Jakc Moylan is also out. That could mean a stint in the midfield for Ben House or possibly Conor McGrandles and Ethan Hamilton, with Sam Clucas sitting deeper.
The same goes for up top – while Cadamarteri being out is a blow, we’ll still possibly have House, Makama, Draper and Collins all raring to go.
