Ian Pearce
UEFA Cup (1994/95), Champions League (1995/96), Intertoto Cup (1999/2000)
Ian Pearce’ gets on this list ahead of Chris Sutton, because he did appear as a player for the Imps.
His European experience is among the most extensive of any former Lincoln City player. He represented Blackburn Rovers in both the UEFA Cup and the Champions League during the mid-1990s, part of a squad that had just won the Premier League. In 1999/2000, he added Intertoto Cup appearances with West Ham United to his continental résumé.
While Pearce’s time at Sincil Bank mainly came much later in a non-playing capacity, he did appear ten times in League Two for us. It makes him one of the very few former Imps to have played in both the Champions League and UEFA Cup.
Jimmy McGeough
Cup Winners’ Cup (1964/65), European Cup (1965–66, 1966–67, 1968–69, 1969–70, 1970–71)
Jimmy McGeough was a regular fixture in European football across two clubs. He began his continental journey with Derry City in the 1964/65 Cup Winners’ Cup and 1965/66 European Cup, then went on to make multiple appearances in the European Cup with Irish champions Waterford between 1966 and 1971. His opponents included heavyweights like Celtic and Galatasaray.
McGeough had a spell with the Imps, starting in the 1971/72 season. He turned out almost 70 times, before a return to Waterford. However, they failed to qualify for Europe during his second spell.

Jordan Williams
Europa Conference League (2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25), Champions League (2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25), Europa League (2024/25)
Jordan Williams featured in the inaugural Europa Conference League during the 2021/22 season with Welsh side The New Saints. A product of the Wrexham academy, Williams had earlier spent a short stint on loan with City in 2017/18 season. His European involvement came years later as he became a key player in the Welsh Premier League.
Williams played in the qualifying rounds of the competition, including ties against Kauno Žalgiris and Viktoria Plzeň, gaining valuable continental experience. He’s since been a regular for TNS, who are a staple of the early rounds. Last season, he became one of the first Imps to appear in three different European competitions in the same season. He appeared against Ferencvaros and Decic Tuzi in the CL, Petrocub in the Europa League (sent off in the second leg), and a handful of sides in the Conference League, including Panathinaikos and Shamrock Rovers, scoring against the latter.
