Tom Pett

When we think of the title-winning side, Michael Bostwick, Harry Anderson and Bruno Andrade spring to mind. We debate the effectiveness of John Akinde and laud the full-back acumen of Harry Toffolo.
Rarely do we discuss Tom Pett. I think Tom suffers a bit from having a quiet first six months, and then disappearing from view when Michael Appleton arrived. Those two spells around the edge of the starting XI mask a fantastic season for him in 2018/19.
Equally as happy facing goal as playing with his back to it, he turned into a versatile midfielder capable of progressing play. He may not have had the goals and assists of the headliners, but his application is often forgotten.
