Rumoured Lincoln City Target: Bolton’s Max Conway Signs New Deal To 2029
Bolton Wanderers have secured left-back Max Conway on a new long-term contract running until June 2029, ending any immediate outside hopes of prising the defender away following his breakthrough under Steven Schumacher.
The Academy product, ever-present in League One this season after a successful loan at Crewe Alexandra last term, has impressed with his progressive carries and delivery from wide areas. Earlier in the season, Imps + commentator John Helm suggested City had been interested in Conway over the summer.
Head coach Schumacher welcomed the agreement and backed Conway to continue developing as part of a squad targeting sustained improvement. The player, who joined Bolton as a youngster, said he is delighted to commit his future and wants to help push the club forward over the coming seasons.
“Now it’s finally done I’m buzzing… I want to be at this football club. It’s all I’ve ever known.”
“This was always going to be a big season for me… I just want to keep developing and keep improving my strengths.”
