Gainsborough Trinity have moved to bolster their attacking options with the loan addition of forward Theo Williams from National League North rivals Kings Lynn Town.
The 22-year-old arrives with a career shaped by varied experiences, sharp pace and a reputation for stretching back lines. He came through at Sheffield United, where he enjoyed productive spells on loan at Darlington and Farsley Celtic, scoring six goals during a strong period under Russ Wilcox.
Williams later made a permanent switch to Fleetwood Town in July 2023 and marked his league debut the following August. He appeared just once for the Cod Army.

Since leaving Fleetwood, Williams has spent time at Torquay United (12 apps, three goals) before joining Kings Lynn on a permanent basis. Loans at Rushall Olympic and Peterborough Sports followed, giving him further senior exposure across multiple systems and styles.
Boss Wilcox welcomed the signing, saying in a club statement:
“It’s an exciting signing for us at Gainsborough. Theo will give us a different option going forward. He’s quick and powerful and works hard for the team.
“He can also play right wing back and right wing which he did for me at Farsley. He’s still young and there’s plenty of development still in him. He knows a few of the lads already, so he should settle quickly into the group. Welcome on board Theo.”
Williams will start this afternoon’s trip to Warrington Town on the bench.
