Lincoln City Duo Exit Sincil Bank – Both Debut For New Club

Lincoln City youngsters Daniel Vanderpuye and Noah Simmons have joined Loughborough Students on work experience loans, and both were in action this weekend.

Vanderpuye recently had a short spell with Lincoln United, but new manager Billy Heath left him out of recent squads, and so he’s now with The Scholars alongside Simmons.

Loughborough, who play at the same level as Bourne Town and Rushden and Diamonds, are in a relegation battle, sitting second from bottom in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

Simmons, who debuted for the Imps against Harrogate earlier in the season, started at left back in their game against Wellingborough yesterday, but it was a tough afternoon. They trailed 2-0 at the break, at which point Vanderpuye was introduced.

Things didn’t get easier in the second period, but Vanderpuye was in the thick of it – he was fouled for a penalty to get one back for the Scholars. Sadly, it came sandwiched between two further goals for the hosts, who ran out 4-1 winners.

Both young players will be eager to get significant game time for Loughborough over the next few weeks to strengthen their claim on full-time deals next season.
