Peterborough United post operating profit in latest accounts
Peterborough United have reported an operating profit of just under £3 million in accounts covering the year ending June 2025.
The club recorded a profit of £2,906,955 after posting a loss of more than £2.3 million the previous year. Turnover rose sharply from just over £10 million to almost £16 million, largely thanks to player sales during the accounting period.
Notable departures during the period included Ronnie Edwards, Harrison Burrows and Hector Kyprianou, while further transfers since the balance sheet date are expected to affect the next set of accounts.
Staff costs increased during the same period, rising from £6.5 million to £7.5 million, while director payments also climbed significantly. Despite the improved financial picture, the club remains reliant on the financial backing of chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
The accounts also reveal that the club still carries substantial loans, although the total has fallen to just over £17.5 million. Net liabilities have also reduced, dropping from £16.6 million to around £13.5 million.
