25-Year-Old Lincoln City Stopper Join Promotion Hopefuls

Lincoln City goalkeeper Jamie Pardington has joined Kidderminster Harriers on a seven-day emergency loan.

The 25-year-old makes the temporary move to the National League North side ahead of their away fixture against Darlington, with the Harriers currently dealing with a goalkeeping crisis following a serious injury to Christian Dibble.

Kidderminster’s match against Radcliffe at the weekend was abandoned after Dibble and defender Joe Foulkes both suffered head injuries and were taken to hospital, leaving the club short of goalkeeping options and prompting the emergency loan move for Pardington.

The Harriers are currently third in the National League North table and firmly in the promotion race, meaning Pardington could be stepping straight into a high-pressure situation if called upon.

Another Loan Spell

This latest move continues what has been a busy season for Pardington, who has already spent time away from Sincil Bank on loan with AFC Telford United and Oxford City during the current campaign.

His spell with Oxford City saw him involved in a relegation battle, but he impressed during his time with the Hoops, including a man-of-the-match performance and a clean sheet away at Marine, one of two shutouts he recorded during his stay.

The Oxford stint was his third loan spell since joining Lincoln, having also turned out for Peterborough Sports, against whom he recently kept a clean sheet, and AFC Telford United, where he made an FA Cup appearance earlier in the season.

Pardinton will now have the odd honour of playing for and against Telford United and Oxford City in the National League North this season. He will also have played against Darlington for three different clubs!

Pardington has spent much of his career gaining experience through loans and short-term moves, often finding himself playing understudy but building up experience across a range of clubs.

Before joining Lincoln City, he had spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Grimsby Town, Larne and Cheltenham Town, as well as a trial with Sheffield Wednesday in 2022. Loan moves earlier in his career included Dulwich Hamlet, Truro City and Bath City.

Despite the number of clubs he has represented, Pardington has only made three appearances in the EFL, two during a loan spell with Mansfield Town and one for Grimsby Town.

This emergency move to Kidderminster offers another opportunity for him to get senior minutes under his belt, and given the situation at Aggborough, it could turn into an important short spell for both player and club.
