Former Lincoln City title winner Bruno Andrade has joined Boston Town on a dual registration deal after signing for Matlock Town.
One of the key figures from Lincoln City’s 2018–19 League Two title-winning side has secured a move in non-league, linking up with Boston Town shortly after joining Matlock Town, and a week after being sacked for brawling with teammate Tyler Winters while at Rushden.
Andrade, now 32, has signed for Northern Premier League Division One East side Matlock, but will also turn out for Boston on a dual registration as they push through the final stages of their season. Boston confirmed the move in a club statement welcoming the experienced winger to the Poachers, highlighting his Football League pedigree and attacking quality.

Andrade was a popular figure
The Portuguese wide player is well remembered at Sincil Bank for his role in the title-winning campaign under Danny Cowley, where his pace, direct running and eye for goal made him a key attacking outlet. Signed from Boreham Wood in 2018 after a prolific spell in the National League, he quickly adapted to League Two and became an important part of the side that secured promotion to League One as champions.
During that memorable 2018–19 season, Andrade made 50 appearances in all competitions and contributed goals and assists as City lifted the title and returned to the third tier. He remained with the club into the League One season before departing in January 2020 following the change in management.
In total, he made 73 appearances for the Imps, scoring 13 goals across league and cup competitions, and remains one of the players closely associated with that successful Cowley era.

Since leaving Lincoln, Andrade has had spells with Salford City and Stevenage, before returning to non-league football with clubs including Boreham Wood, Maidenhead United, Chesham United, Kettering Town and Bedford Town. More recently, he also appeared in the Baller League, a small-sided competition featuring former professionals and well-known figures from the game.
Andrade’s latest moves come shortly after a controversial exit from Rushden & Diamonds, where he was released by the club following an on-field altercation with team-mate Tyler Winters during a match against Loughborough University students. The incident led to his immediate departure from the club, and he later issued a public apology, thanking supporters and those at the club while admitting regret over how his time there ended.
This week’s move to Matlock Town came first, where he made his debut in a defeat to Redcar Athletic, before Boston Town moved quickly to secure him on dual registration. The Poachers described him as a player who brings experience, pace and creativity, and someone who can add real quality to their attacking options as the season reaches its conclusion.
