It’s a busy day for the award nominations. Sonny Bradley and Michael Skubala have been nominated for March Player and Manager of the Month, and now it’s been revealed that we’ve got four individuals nominated in the seasonal awards.
Michael is surely in the running to win his fourth Manager of the Month award for March, and if he does, he’ll make history by becoming the first manager of the League One era to win three in a row. He’ll also become the second Lincoln City boss to win four in a season, following on from the late, great Graham Taylor in 1975/76.
He could also (and should also) be adding a Manager of the Season award to that pile, as he has now been nominated for the top accolade in 2025/26. Graham Alexander and Alex Revell have done good jobs at Stevenage and Bradford City, and while Brian Barry-Murphy has settled well at Cardiff, surely Skubala is the man for the award?
Oddly, the winners will be announced live at the League’s annual ceremony in London on Sunday, 19 April, before the season finishes, but let’s be honest, none of the candidates are going to overhaul Michael’s lead. Only one can, and even they couldn’t do it by then.

In terms of players, we have two of the four nominations for Player of the Season, and in my opinion, they don’t even include our actual Player of the Season! Kudos to Sonny Bradley, who has been a rock at the back all campaign, only missing games when he was wrongfully sent off. The same to Jack Moylan, who endured early injury hell, only to come back and give us the creative lift we needed to turn decent form into history-defining form. They’re joined by Owen Bailey and Dom Ballard on the list, and while the latter is probably the sexier option, given his goals, it wouldn’t surprise me if one of ours gets it.
By the way, no Conor McGrandles? Seriously?
Finally, and certainly by no means less importantly, Alan Long has been nominated for a club employee award. That will surely be one of the most popular awards of the night should he win it, and even just to be nominated with two others shows what a top man Alan is.
Alan is the club’s supporter liaison officer, and has completed more than 1,000 matches as PA announcer at the Bank. He is recognisably the voice and face of the Imps to most fans, across generations. He also gave me the job as Poacher all those years ago, and he’s both a Lincoln City legend and a friend.
The awards are broadcast live on Sky Sports Football from 8:30 pm on April 19th.
