Lincoln City have secured the long-term future of forward Rob Street with a new four-year contract.
Street played a pivotal role in City’s record-breaking League One title-winning campaign, scoring 10 goals, with an overall 17-goal contribution across 53 appearances in all competitions. Notably, he bagged a late winner against Stockport on Boxing Day, the opener against Cardiff in March, and a late leveller to keep the unbeaten run going at Stevenage, when all hope seemed lost.
He ensured he picked up his second title-winner’s medal in 12 months, after lifting League Two with Doncaster in 2025, and he’ll now be a key part of the Imps’ squad moving into the Championship in 2026/27.

The 24-year-old came through the academy system at Crystal Palace, although his route was not entirely straightforward. Released by the club at the age of eight, he rebuilt his reputation through county football with Surrey and at Whyteleafe before earning a return to Selhurst Park after a successful trial. His progress after rejoining was rapid, moving into the under-23 squad at just 16 before signing a professional contract in 2020.
Early senior experience came through loans with Torquay United, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town, where he gradually adapted to senior football. His spell at Newport brought his first senior goals, while a season at Shrewsbury under Steve Cotterill helped establish him as a hard-working forward capable of leading the line in League One.
After rejecting a new deal at Palace in 2023 because he wanted a permanent move rather than another loan, Street joined Cheltenham Town on a three-year contract. He scored three times in 26 appearances during a difficult campaign that ended in relegation, with a serious knee injury cutting short his first season at the club.
In July 2024, he moved to the Bank on a four-year deal, making his debut in a 3-2 win against Burton Albion. His first goal for the Imps arrived in the EFL Trophy against Manchester City Under-21s, although league opportunities proved limited during the first half of the campaign before he headed out on loan in 2025, where his 12 goals in 24 games helped them to become League Two champions.

Sporting director Jez George said: “We are delighted that Rob has committed his future to Lincoln City so that we can attack the challenges of the Championship together. Rob had been an integral part of what we achieved last season, excelling across all three forward positions, and he has the potential for even more growth and development. Rob will be equally integral for us in what we are trying to achieve moving forward.
“Just as importantly, Rob is an incredible character, epitomising everything about our group with a mentality, work ethic and selflessness rarely seen from players in his position, as well as the attributes he possesses that suit our game model so well. He is a class act.”
Rob Street added: “I’m delighted to have signed a new deal – this is a really exciting place to be at the moment.
“I’m very thankful to the club for showing their faith in me. I wanted to be a big part of the team and we’ve achieved everything we wanted to – it has been the most memorable season of my career.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here and am excited for the future. We know what a challenge next season is going to be but it’s one everyone at the club is really looking forward to.”
