Hull City Hold Talks Over Lazio Defender

Hull City have reportedly held direct discussions over a possible move for Lazio defender Luca Pellegrini, with Sport Witness relaying claims from Italy that the Tigers are competing with Como for his signature.

The 27-year-old left-back came through the Roma academy before joining Juventus, while he has also spent time on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. He has been with Lazio since 2023, but his future in Rome appears uncertain after a frustrating period in which he struggled for regular football during the closing months of the 2025/26 campaign.

Pellegrini’s contract runs until 2027, but the report claims there have been no talks over a renewal, which could push Lazio towards considering a sale. The Italian side are also entering a new phase, with Rino Gattuso taking charge after the club missed out on European football.

Hull’s reported interest comes at a time when they are looking to strengthen under new plans for the Championship campaign. Pellegrini’s flexibility may be part of the appeal, as he can operate as a conventional left-back, wing-back or in more advanced midfield areas.

Como are also credited with interest, although the report suggests they have not yet made a decisive move. That could leave Hull with an opportunity if the financial terms prove realistic.
