Boston United have confirmed the signing of Gibraltar international midfielder Nicholas Pozo from Lincoln Red Imps, with the deal subject to international clearance, Football Association approval and National League approval.
The 21-year-old has agreed an initial one-year contract at the Jakemans Community Stadium, with the club also holding an option for a further year.
Pozo becomes Boston’s second arrival of the summer, following the signing of fellow midfielder Gavan Holohan from Hartlepool United, as the club continues to shape their squad ahead of the new National League campaign.
Boston United Add International Experience
Pozo arrives with senior international experience already behind him, having made 25 appearances for Gibraltar. His first cap came in June 2022, when he made his senior debut against North Macedonia.
That international pedigree gives Boston an unusual profile for the level. Although still only 21, Pozo has already been involved in UEFA Nations League and European Championship qualifying environments, as well as domestic and continental football with Lincoln Red Imps.
The midfielder had been with Lincoln Red Imps since leaving Spanish side Cádiz in 2024, having previously spent several years in the Cádiz youth system. He signed for the Gibraltar club after his departure from Spain and went on to establish himself as part of their senior squad.
Across his time with Lincoln Red Imps, Pozo made 30 league appearances and scored 10 goals, while also featuring in European competition. His wider senior record stands at 53 appearances and 12 goals across all competitions, including a loan spell with Europa.
Boston had already strengthened their midfield with the arrival of Holohan from Hartlepool, and Pozo now adds another option in that area of the pitch.
Pozo’s signing remains subject to the required administrative approvals, with international clearance, FA approval and National League approval still needed before the move is fully completed.
