Lincoln City have confirmed there are 800 supporters on the waiting list for Gold Memberships ahead of the 2026/27 season.
It’s crazy, ten years ago, 800 would have been a good threshold for actual sales, now there are 800 people hoping to get tickets to come and watch. Obviously, promotion to the Championship has helped hugely, and of course, Grimsby fans will ask where a lot of the fans were when we were crap, but the fact is, success brings bums on seats, and since 2016/17, we’ve averaged between 8,000 and 9,000 in two divisions.
With the Imps now preparing for their first Championship campaign, demand for seats at Sincil Bank remains high, and the club have now outlined how the next stage of the process will work. Supporters on the waiting list will be contacted from early July, with any available seats in the three stands with season tickets offered out in batches.
The first 150 supporters on the list will receive an email invitation from 10 am on July 6. Further batches will follow every 48 hours or so, with supporters ranked 151 to 300 contacted from July 8, 301 to 450 from July 10, 451 to 600 from July 13, 601 to 750 from July 15 and the remaining supporters from July 17. Basically, if you’re on the list and you get an email, react quickly!
The process will be completed online only, with supporters receiving an email invitation that allows them to sign in to their ticketing account, view available seats, select their preferred option and complete the purchase. The club have stressed that only supporters already on the waiting list, and who have received an email invitation, will be able to buy a season ticket now.
City have also confirmed that the £30 waiting list fee already paid will be deducted automatically from the displayed price when supporters complete their purchase online. Full pricing details for the remaining Gold Membership seats, including adult, concession, young adult, junior and family area options, are available via the club’s official ticketing update.
The club have also provided an update on seat swaps, confirming that the main seat swap process has now been completed. Supporters who would still like to request a move should email tickets@theredimps.com, with the ticket office reviewing availability where possible.
There is also information for Silver Membership holders. Supporters who held a Silver Membership during the 2025/26 season will be given the chance to renew before memberships go on general sale. Those who want to renew or purchase a new Silver Membership should email the ticket office and will be contacted once those packages become available.
Incredible, when I started this site in the middle of the 2015/16 season, I never thought I’d be writing an article about us needing a waiting list for season tickets at Sincil Bank.
