Manchester United Open Summerville Talks
Manchester United have reportedly opened exploratory talks with West Ham United over a possible move for Crysencio Summerville.
The 24-year-old joined the Hammers from Leeds United in a deal worth £25m in August 2024 and has since developed into a more prominent figure at the London Stadium. After a slower start, he contributed seven goals and five assists in 34 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign.
His form also earned him a place in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup, where he scored twice before their exit from the tournament.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United and West Ham have held exploratory talks over Summerville, although United are not thought to be the only club interested.
Any move may depend on departures at Old Trafford. The report claims a bid for Summerville is contingent on Marcus Rashford being sold this summer, with United assessing their options in wide attacking areas.
Summerville made his name in the Championship with Leeds, where he developed into one of the division’s standout wide players before his move to West Ham. His pace, direct running and ability to play from the left have now placed him back in the transfer conversation.
For West Ham, the situation may depend on both the level of interest and the size of any offer. Summerville still has clear value after a stronger second season in east London, particularly following his involvement with the Netherlands at the World Cup.
United’s interest adds another layer to what could become one of the more notable attacking transfer stories of the summer.
