Former Lincoln City loanee Ryan Oné is reportedly attracting interest from Rangers and Leicester City after helping the Imps win the League One title last season.

Transfer reporter Ben Jacobs has claimed both clubs are monitoring the Sheffield United forward, although there has been no suggestion that either has submitted a formal offer at this stage.

Oné spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Sincil Bank, joining from the Blades during the January transfer window. The Scotland youth international scored five times in League One, with all five coming during a productive run towards the end of the season.

His contribution included the opening goal against Reading as we secured promotion to the Championship, while he also found the net against AFC Wimbledon during the Easter period.

The forward made seven league starts during his time with us, but his impact went beyond those appearances. His pace, strength and willingness to run behind opposing defences gave Michael Skubala another attacking option as we completed our promotion push.

Statistically, Oné averaged 2.98 shots and 1.66 efforts on target per 90 minutes during his loan. He also registered 4.64 touches inside the penalty area per 90, the highest figure among the four forwards we borrowed during the campaign.

Oné returned to Sheffield United at the end of the season, having previously been backed to challenge for a place in their senior squad. He remains under contract at Bramall Lane and is currently listed as part of the Blades’ first-team group.

The 20-year-old began his professional career with Hamilton Academical before joining Sheffield United in September 2023. He made his Premier League debut the following month, appearing against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Rangers could now offer him an opportunity to return to Scotland, although Leicester’s reported interest may provide competition for his signature. One is likely to want a permanent move, while the other seems more suited to a loan.

Whether the Blades would consider a permanent departure, another loan or keeping Oné for their own campaign remains unclear. However, his performances at Sincil Bank appear to have ensured there will be no shortage of interest in the former Imps forward this summer.
