£40m Forward To Start? AFC Bournemouth Line Up Suggested For Lincoln City Clash

Evanilson

Smith believes Evanilson could operate behind Alvaro Rodriguez, reprising a partnership that Bournemouth used during pre-season.

After beginning his career with Fluminense, Evanilson flourished at Porto, scoring 60 goals in 154 appearances and collecting five major domestic honours. A club-record £40.2 million move to Bournemouth followed in 2024, with the Brazil international registering 18 goals during his first two seasons in England.

Ben Gannon-Doak

Gannon-Doak is expected to be handed an opportunity to prove a point after being omitted from Bournemouth’s Europa League squad.

Gannon-Doak made his senior debut for Celtic at 16 before moving to Liverpool, where he became the youngest Scottish footballer to appear in the Premier League. Following an impressive Championship loan with Middlesbrough, the Scotland international joined Bournemouth in a deal worth up to £25 million in August 2025.

Alvaro Rodriguez

Rodriguez is tipped to lead the attack, with his height also considered valuable when defending against Lincoln City’s set-piece threat.

Real Madrid academy graduate Rodríguez scored on his La Liga debut against Atlético Madrid and later gained further top-flight experience with Getafe and Elche. Bournemouth signed the 6ft 4in forward from Elche for £21 million in July, while his international career has included representing both Spain and Uruguay at youth level.
