4. Who do you think will be our top goalscorer at the end of the season?
If you’re putting me on the spot, I’ll say Freddie Draper. He’s only got two at the minute, and we know Mikkel Ladefoged is going to come in, but I can see opportunities being created for Fred.
Against Swansea, he got the right side of Tymon, and we look for those mismatches. Physically, he’s probably going to outmuscle Tymon, and he ends up being fouled for the penalty that Hackett scores. I can see Fred getting 10 goals this season.
He’s scored twice in the first eight league games, so if he carries on at that rate, he’d have four after 16 and eight after 32. He’s on course for 10 or 12, and as in previous seasons, that could be enough to finish as our leading scorer.
We’re going to win games 1-0 rather than 5-0 or 6-0. I’d be really surprised if we scored more than three in a league game this season unless somebody had an absolute collapse. The likelihood is that we’ll win by narrow margins and be relatively low scorers, so I see Freddie as the player who gets the most goals for us.
