The Stacey West Patreons are delighted to announce that we are now sponsoring four Lincoln City players for the coming season.
Our Patreon community is almost 200-strong, and a group have clubbed together, along with me, to put our name to a quartet of Imps stars, both now and for the future. A few weeks ago, we announced we were sponsoring Dom Jefferies, who has been heavily involved at the start of the current season.
That comes on the back of us covering Erik Ring last season, and the wider site having also sponsored the likes of Ethan Erhahon, Danny Rowe and Hakeeb Adelakun in the past. This week, we signed off on sponsoring no fewer than three of the current academy players, hoping we’ve nailed down some stars of the future.
Firstly, we’ve sponsored attacker Josh Kennealey. Josh is the brother of Stacey West writer Kyle Kennealey, and is a regular scorer of goals in the academy. He is in the final year of his stint and will be hoping to catch the eye with more goals and energetic displays as the season progresses. He recently smashed a hat-trick as we routed York City Under 18s 10-1.
Anyone who watched the recent pre-season friendlies will now have heard of Donald Inyama, who appeared in matches against Boston United, Grimsby Town and Doncaster Rovers. Donald is a central midfielder who appears robust and busy in the centre of the park. He’s the second academy player we’re now sponsoring.
Finally, we’ve also sponsored summer arrival Leo Fifield, another hat-trick hero from the York City game. Leo also hit four as the Under 18s put nine past Rochdale last week, having only arrived in the summer after leaving Coventry City’s youth setup.
It’s a huge pleasure for the site and our Patrons to be able to support the academy, something we have tried hard to do as much as possible for over a decade. During the 2016/17 season, profits from my first book went to the academy, and whenever possible, both Patrons and friends of the site, as well as the wider team, have done what we can in our name to sponsor players.
Here’s to Dom, Josh, Leo and Donald, and hopefully they all have a superb season.
