It’s the fourth and final part of our series looking at Lincoln City’s expected away allocations and prices for the 26/27 Championship season.
We have covered the first 18 matches and what to expect, with the remaining five seeing us cover some established opponents in the final two months of the campaign.
Without further ado, let’s jump straight to it, starting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
19) Wolverhampton Wanderers
Date: Saturday 13th March (15:00) (TBC)
Ticket Prices: Adults £33-£35.50, 65+ £23-£25, U23 £21.50-£23, U18 £10.50, U14 £5
Expected Allocation (if required): 3010
By the time this fixture is confirmed, which is dependent on Sky Sports TV selections, we will be working on a rolling four-week basis to await any fixture amendments. In a break from most of the norms of the Championship, Wolves have two away ends that they use, depending on demand.
One is the recognisable one in the Steve Bull Lower Stand that runs the length of the pitch, given to those teams who will sell the maximum allocation of around 3000 tickets. I believe that is still the case, though Stoke City and Black Country rivals West Bromwich Albion, for obvious reasons, were given allocations around the 2550 mark instead. The alternative away end is in the Stan Cullis Stand, located towards the corner behind one of the goals at Molineux, and holds around 2000 fans.
Price-wise, either stand is towards the expensive side in the Championship, at between £33 and £35.50 for adults. Wolves have the same matchday prices for all visiting clubs.
20) West Bromwich Albion
Date: Saturday 20th March (15:00) (TBC)
Ticket Prices: Adults £32, 65+ £27, U26 £22, U20 £15, U17 £12, U14 £8
Expected Allocation (if required): 2542
Successive weekends (hopefully) in the West Midlands takes us to The Hawthorns to face West Brom, in a reverse of the Boxing Day clash between the two clubs. It’s also the final fixture before the international break and Easter. The unfortunate timing of the festivities means that we won’t play the usual Bank Holiday fixtures on either Good Friday or Easter Monday.
Like their Black Country rivals, West Brom operate a one pricing strategy fits all for their 26/27 Championship matches. It’s pretty standard for the second tier at £32 for adults. Home and away fans both occupy the Smethwick End at The Hawthorns, with away supporters on the left side when looking pitchside at the stand.
An allocation of up to 2542 tickets should be expected for Imps supporters for our final match before the spring international break.
21) Southampton
Date: Saturday 10th April (15:00) (TBC)
Ticket Prices: Adults £30, Concessions (65+ & U26) £25, U18 & U14 £20
Expected Allocation (if required): 3008
Returning to the scene of our fourth-round League Cup exit in 2022, the away end at St Mary’s Stadium has changed since then. It will have been three weeks since our last away game by this point. It will also be the second month in succession that we visit the south coast, and the first time this season that fixture will fall on a Saturday, after our Carabao Cup clash at AFC Bournemouth also came during the week.
Southampton categorise their matches, with their three Saturday league fixtures this season coming under the Category B structure. I would expect Lincoln to be the same, and visiting adult supporters are charged £30. Swansea City fans paid £25 in the same age range for their midweek fixture, which was a Category C fixture.
As mentioned, the away end has slightly shifted to the corner between the Chapel Stand and Kingsland Stand. A maximum of 3008 tickets should be available to City supporters.
22) Blackburn Rovers
Date: Wednesday 21st April (19:45) (TBC)
Ticket Prices: Adults £24-£29, 65+ £22-£26, U23 £18-£22, U18 £13-£16, U12 £10-£13
Expected Allocation (if required): 7396
The final midweek offering of the 26/27 campaign could be a crucial one, as we travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn. Rovers potentially offer more away tickets than any other Championship side, so it is disappointing that this fixture falls on a Wednesday evening. Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom took over 7000 fans for relegation six-pointers in the last few years, while Leeds United and Coventry City are among the clubs to also receive hefty allocations.
Supply will certainly outstrip demand for this fixture, unless Rovers do what they did to Derby County and Burnley in recent years and restrict their allocations. Even though that’s unlikely, there should still be a plentiful supply for visiting Imps fans, who will be housed in the Bryan Douglas Darwen End, behind the goal.
Given this is a midweek fixture, I would firmly expect the Imps to be charged Category C pricing. The Imps are unlikely to need the upper tier for this fixture, but there are three different sets of pricing, which start on the cheap side in the lower tier at £24 for adults.
23) Stoke City
Date: Saturday 24th April (15:00) (TBC)
Ticket Prices: Adults £31, 65+ £24, U18 £19, U15 £17, U11 £15
Expected Allocation (if required): 3380
Just like last season, the final away match of the season takes us to Staffordshire, as we face Port Vale’s fierce rivals Stoke City. City supporters can expect another good allocation if the demand is there of almost 3400 tickets, located in the south-east corner of the bet365 Stadium. There have been some pretty memorable away ends in recent times that have been located on the corner…
In terms of pricing, expect the Potters to charge us in the Category A bracket. It appears that their early season weekend games are at that rate, while midweek fixtures, regardless of the opposition, are Category B. That means Imps fans can expect to pay a fairly decent rate, relative to the rest of the division, at £31 for adults.
It’s worth noting that Stoke’s concession pricing differs from most other clubs, in that they don’t have a discounted rate for young adults.
