Watford face two late fitness decisions ahead of tonight’s Championship meeting with Lincoln City at Vicarage Road.

Luca Kjerrumgaard and Branimir Mlačić remain doubts, while several other players are sidelined for the Hornets. The club’s latest injury update confirms that both players will be assessed ahead of our visit. Kjerrumgaard missed Saturday’s trip to Norwich City after suffering a minor thigh problem the day before the game, while Mlačić came off after an hour at Carrow Road and has a slight groin concern.

Their availability leaves head coach Alessio Dionisi with decisions to make as Watford look to respond to their defeat in Norfolk. The Hornets surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 3-2, with the Imps now hoping to add to their frustrations this evening.

Kwadwo Baah remains unavailable with a thigh injury, Jeremy Ngakia is recovering from a quadriceps problem and Soumaïla Coulibaly is out with a hamstring issue. Watford report that all three are progressing well and building up their fitness with the club’s rehabilitation coaches.

Michail Antonio is also facing a few weeks out with a quadriceps injury, while Nikoloz Chikovani is working individually following a fractured thumb. Jack Grieves completes the list of fresh concerns after feeling his right adductor in training on Friday, with further assessment needed to establish the extent of the problem.

There is more encouraging news for Watford regarding Edoardo Bove, although his progress comes too late for tonight’s fixture. The midfielder is due to rejoin group training in modified sessions by the end of the week, having spent the past fortnight working individually with a fitness coach.

Bove has not featured since the 1-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion on September 5, with a knee injury keeping him out of action. The 24-year-old’s planned return to group work represents a step forward, but Dionisi previously suggested that a playing comeback could come after the international break and stressed that he would not be rushed.
