Five Lincoln City fixtures between January and March 2027 have been moved for Sky Sports coverage, with Queens Park Rangers now set to visit Sincil Bank on a Friday night.
The first change is our trip to Birmingham City on Saturday 23 January. Kick-off has been brought forward from 3 pm to 12.30 pm, with the game live on Sky Sports+. I’m alright though, as we’re missing that game to watch Hertha Berlin on our yearly lads’ tour to Germany.
The return QPR game is the only one of the five to change actual dates. The Imps were due to host Rangers at 3 pm on Saturday 30 January, but the match will now kick off at 8 pm on Friday 29 January and will be shown on Sky Sports Football. Another 3 pm home kick-off bites the dust.
Our trip to Wrexham on Saturday 6 February has also been brought forward from 3 pm to 12.30 pm for coverage on Sky Sports+, meaning a really early start, or a hotel in Wrexham for the night before.

The following Saturday, 13 February, we host Preston North End, with kick-off pushed back from 3 pm to 5.30 pm for Sky Sports Football. If you were taking your partner out for a nice Saturday evening meal, you’d better get grovelling.
The final change is the trip to Portsmouth on Wednesday 3 March. Kick-off has been pushed back 15 minutes, from 7.45 pm to 8 pm, and the match will be live on Sky Sports Football. Not sure an extra 15 minutes will make a huge difference to your planning.
The changes do mean that, as things stand, by February 26th, the Imps will only have played four regular Saturday afternoon games at 3 pm: Burnley, Swansea, Wrexham and Millwall. Boxing Day is also a Saturday, and also a 3 pm kick-off, but isn’t a regular Saturday.
We are currently scheduled to play Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Derby County, and Bolton on a Saturday at 3 pm, but even now, it seems we’ll play fewer than ten times at home in that traditional 3 pm slot.
