Lincoln City head to Loftus Road on Saturday for their final Championship game before the international break, looking for a response to Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at Watford.
Queens Park Rangers recently beat Swansea City 5-0 at home, and the Imps will need a much stronger away performance to come away with something.

This week, Johnny Benton, Waddle and Tom Davies look ahead to QPR, with all three looking for a performance City can build on after the break.

Johnny Benton
“I am looking forward to another London-based away day, but I think points might be difficult to come by. QPR have shown real quality and the ability to score plenty, and our defence has not been as solid of late. I would like to see us go back to a back four and show some continuity in the line-up for a while, especially in the middle of the park. I’m unsure who that would be, but I would be somewhat relieved to have Conor McGrandles back.
“We’ll miss Ben House, so I hope Mikkel Ladefoged is back in contention, but we will need a lot more from our front line if we are going to get any points this weekend in London. An extra point before the break would be welcome, but at the moment, I would settle for a decent performance (and no referee howlers)!
“I’ll go QPR 2-0 Imps.”
Waddle
“QPR was a popular one among fans listing their most anticipated away trips for this season, myself included. I’m sure that excitement has dulled somewhat after the rather depressing affair at Watford in midweek, especially given QPR’s fairly intimidating home presence and the smoking crater they turned promotion-chasing Swansea City into just over a week ago.
“I’m genuinely not overly fussed about the result for this one. Regardless of the Watford game, I think this is one to not get too expectant over. The international break will be a useful reset either way. It’s just an inspiring, valiant away performance I’m hoping for. A battling 0-0 for me.”
Tom Davies
“If you’d asked me a couple of weeks ago, I might have been optimistic about coming away with a draw. Although they’re hard to beat, QPR do have a habit of dropping points against (ahem) teams like Lincoln. You can imagine a world in which a heroic defensive performance, and perhaps a breakaway goal, earns us a point.
“Unfortunately, we have been a bit out of sorts in the last couple of matches. OK, QPR aren’t exactly in scintillating form themselves, but I suspect they’ll have too much for us this time around.
“The reality is that this weekend’s performance is probably more important than the result. If we can build a decent platform for Wrexham, looking a bit more cohesive and with fewer errors, I think I can stomach a battling defeat.
“I’ll go QPR 3-1 Imps.”
