Mark Marshall

Mark Marshall is an interesting one, because his background suggests he might be well-known to Danny and Nicky.

He’s currently at Charlton Athletic, but he came through the southern non league scene with Carshalton (no, he didn’t play in that game), Grays and Eastleigh, before playing for Port Vale, Coventry and Bradford amongst others.

He’s a winger, known for his pace and trickery. Tom Pope once stated the player has terrific self belief and will always look to beat a player even when he’s struggling for form.

That sort of direct running would suit our game play. Think an experienced Harry Anderson, maybe without the bullish strength.

He’s out of contract at the Valley this summer and with their financial woes, there’s every chance he’ll be on the lookout for a new club.
