I know there will be those who don’t believe a young keeper is the way forward for a team, but the success of Kieran O’Hara at Macclesfield and Burton suggests that to be incorrect. Also, Dean Henderson and Sam Johnstone have both gone out on loan in the Football League and impressed, as has the next choice on my list, Matt Macey.
He was in goal for the Under 23 side the other night but has significant Football League experience too. He’s 25, a little older than some of the other picks on here, and has already enjoyed spells at Accrington, Luton and Plymouth, appearing 34 times for the latter.
He signed a new deal with the Gunners in 2017 at the same time as Eddie Nketiah and Ben Sheaf, the length of which was undisclosed. If he is approaching the end of that contract, a permanent move wouldn’t be the biggest surprise as MA will definitely be looking for an option next season.

Assurance are one thing, the reality might be different. Do we know why TJ Eyoma is not playing?
It’s not different with Tyreece, Morrell or Hesketh. I think there is some impetus on the player too.
Because he is only here as cover?
I’m confused who is cover for who! Is Alan Sheehan cover for TJ? Or is TJ cover for Alan Sheehan who is cover for Jason Shackell?
TJ will now be cover for Sheehan. Shacks won’t be appearing again.
Wasn’t Ben Sheaf at Stevenage last season?
Always plenty of talented players in Arsenal youth teams.. It would be nice if clubs will continue good relationship and we can land one of those talents here.
We were bit unlucky this year with TJJ but next time it might work out better for us.
