Worst Performance of the Month – Gillingham (H) 4.13

It wasn’t even up for debate. In a season where we’ve had some stinkers, this is by far the worst of the lot. I won’t even discuss it anymore, frankly.

Best Performance of the Month – Wycombe (H) 7.49

Remember, we did win a game in February, against Morecambe, and yet a 1-1 draw gets the performance of the month. It’s not the first draw that’s won the accolade, but it is the first time a home league game has been voted as the best performance of the month. To a man, we were excellent against Wycombe, we met their threat at every turn, we showed the fortitude to grab our goal and we showed some real fight in the final minutes as a wind-assisted Wycombe launched balls forward. This seemed like a turning point, but as it transpired, we’d lose the next three on the bounce. Football, eh?

Best Individual Performance of the Month – Brooke Norton-Cuffy v Wycombe (H) 8.5

Norton-Cuffy has a month of strong performances, but his first start for the club, against high-flying Wycombe, was perhaps the best. After a handful of appearances from the bench, necessity dictated he played, with Joe Walsh, Lewis Montsma and Adam Jackson out. It’s one of the first occasions that the injuries have worked in our favour; Brooke was outstanding and he’s made himself undroppable ever since.
