Ben House has signed a contract extension to remain with the Imps until at least the summer of 2028.

The news comes on the back of us discussing his contract situation on the podcast, and unanimously deciding we’d like to see him stay at the club.

The energetic forward joined City in January 2022 from National League side Eastleigh and has since gone on to make 128 appearances in red and white, scoring 26 times. His first full season at Sincil Bank saw him top the club’s goalscoring charts and win Players’ Player of the Year.

The 26-year-old has been in good form to start the 2025/26 campaign, scoring four times in all competitions, which included the winning goal at Burton Albion to set up a Carabao Cup tie with world club champions Chelsea and a crucial brace in a 3-1 victory against Luton Town.

“Ben is a highly valued and important member of our squad who can play across every forward position and brings the intensity and aggression that we look for in these positions.

“We feel Ben has a lot more to offer, with a big role to play this season and beyond, and the ability to add even more goals to his all-round contribution.

“Retaining the services of trusted senior players is just as important as signing new players and the likes of Ben, Adam Jackson and Conor McGrandles, who have been at the club for many years, create a golden thread of continuity within the squad.”

House added: “I’m delighted to get it done and looking forward to the next few years at Lincoln City where I’m enjoying playing football.

“We’ve had a great start to the season and there’s a real ambition to succeed that we’re all united in fighting for.”

We’re all delighted Ben has chosen to remain at the club. His profile is utterly unique, and now that we have personnel in the forward areas to complement him, he can be utilised much more efficiently.

With two-and-a-half more seasons (minimum) he looks sure to surpass the 200 appearance mark for the club, turning him into a key figure for us throughout our League One adventure. Who knows, he might even get s stab at the Championship as well!
