If I ever need an agent, I want Josh Ginnelly’s agent.

He joined on loan from Burnley in January 2017 and made 17 appearances in all competitions as City won the National League title and promotion back to the EFL. He was cup-tied when we faced his employers in March 2017, having previously played for Walsall in the FA Cup.

He returned to Sincil Bank on a season-long loan for 2017–18, adding a further 19 appearances and three goals in all competitions. His first goal for Lincoln came on the opening day of the 2017–18 League Two season in a 2–2 draw with Wycombe Wanderers, with later strikes against Notts County in the EFL Trophy and Stevenage in the league. Across his two spells, he totalled 36 appearances and three goals for the club.

A permanent move to Walsall followed in 2018–19, where he recorded 22 appearances and four goals before transferring to Preston North End in January 2019. While at Preston, he had loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Heart of Midlothian, the latter becoming a permanent switch in 2021. He made 89 further appearances and scored 22 goals for Hearts across two seasons.

In July 2023, he somehow signed for Championship outfit Swansea City and scored on his debut in the EFL Cup against Northampton Town. Two seasons later, he was released.
