Five League One Players I’d Love Lincoln City To Sign

Chem Campbell – Stevenage

22-year-old Campbell is in and out of the Stevenage side, but he feels to me like one of those players going under the radar a little bit. He’s bound to – he’s playing for Stevenage, a woefully undervalued team in League One. I rated him last year in his outings against us for Reading, and I still think his ceiling is quite high.

Campbell has been a promising youngsater for a while, ever since breaking through at Wolves as a 16-year-old in the EFL Cup. That debut hinted at the talent he had, a direct winger with quick feet and a habit of committing defenders. Premier League minutes were limited at Molineux, but he kept progressing through a series of loans that toughened him up for senior football. His spells at Wycombe and Charlton were particularly useful, giving him regular games and a chance to add goals to his record.

Reading took him on during the 2024/25 campaign, and he delivered lively performances in League One, showing why clubs kept coming back for him. Stevenage made their move in the summer of 2025 and he has settled quickly, bringing pace, sharp movement and a willingness to take risks in the final third.

He is a name I think we’ll hear more about in the coming months, and he’d fit nicely out wide on the right for us.
