There were plenty of our Lincolnshire teams in action this weekend.
Here’s a roundup of the top results from across the county.
Boston United
The Pilgrims got their Isuzu FA Trophy campaign underway this weekend with a tough trip to Tamworth.
The campaign ended not long after it had begun. They fought back after Stefan Mols’ 48th-minute opener to equalise through Frankie Maguire.
That forced the tie to penalties, and for the fifth time in six seasons, spot kicks ended their progression. Oisin Gallagher initially missed his penalty, but scored a retake after encroachment.
It wasn’t enough – a Marcel Lavinier miss handed the tie to the Lambs.
Gainsborough Trinity
The Holy Blues missed the chance to close the gap on the play-offs, drawing 1-1 with Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Sisa Tuntulwana gave the home side the lead in a pretty turgid game, only for Alex O’Connor to level with just three minutes to go.
Charlie Parks was given the Man of the Match as he turned out for his current loan club.

Lincoln United
The Whites were in action against Bradford Park Avenue, the side fourth in the table, and a battling draw kept them out of the relegation spots.
Billy Heath’s first league game could have gone differently, with the hosts leading courtesy of a first-half penalty. Bradford then had a man sent off, Elliot Dye walked for the Whites, and finally, they levelled through Connor Brown to earn a credible 1-1 draw.
Spalding United
Spalding United, top of the Southern League Premier Central, hosted Worcester City this weekend, and led twice. Yusifu Ceesay and Jack Roberts scored either side of Dan Sweeney’s 72nd-minute penalty for the visitors, who also had Charlie Wise sent off for two bookable offences.
Deep into injury time, the Tulips were picked off as Connor Stanley netted to ensure things finished 2-2. Those lat goals in 2-2 draws, eh?
Stamford AFC
The bottom two played each other in the Southern League Premier Central, and it was the Daniels coming out on top against Royston Town. Jordon Cooke and Kai Sanchez-Tonge netted first half goals to give Graham Drury’s side a vital 2-0 win.
It saw them move onto 13 points, still ten shy of safety, with games in hand of fellow strugglers Sudbury and Stourbridge.
United Counties League Premier Division
In step five, a handful of our local clubs were in action. Leaders Boston Town beat Deeping Rangers 2-0, while Skegness Town kept up the pressure at the top with a 3-2 win at Harrowby United. Grantham were not in action, and are fourth, 12 points off Boston, but with four games in hand.
A step below, in the Northern Counties East League Division One, Louth Town drew 2-2 at Leeds UFAC, leaving them 13th, while Brigg’s 3-1 win at Goole saw them remain in the play-off spots.
At the same level, in the United Counties League Division One, Sleaford Town lost 2-1 to South Normanton, grabbing a late consolation from the spot courtesy of Jonathan Timmins.
