Lincoln City Player of the Month – December 2025

It seems a long while ago now, but December opened with an exit from the EFL Trophy.

It meant we went into the month with focus on the league, but November hadn’t inspired anyone. Erik Ring got Player of the Month with an average of 6.83 – this month, only four eligible players had lower than that!

Wins against Barnsley (twice), Stockport and Cardiff really gave City a lift, and while the draw at Blackpool wasn’t seen as a solid result, it should have been.

Here are your Player of the Month and Performance of the Month for December 2025.

Player of the Month

Adam Reach (8.16)

Only on two occasions since (these) records began a Lincoln City player got higher than 8.16 for a month – Adam Jackson in April 2023, and Regan Poole in January 2022.

Reach has been utterly outstanding, a player who still looks every inch Championship quality. It honestly baffles me how he was on the PFA list until those final few days, because he just shines like a beacon whenever he is on the field.

Picked up one Man of the Match, away at Barnsley, but is almost always in the top two or three.

Individual Performance of the Month

Adam Reach (Barnsley A) 8.8

When you score a Goal of the Season contender, you’re always going to rate highly, but his performance at Oakwell was about so much more than the goal.

The thing with Reach is that he just fits. That’s been the key this season, the new faces have just fitted. They’ve added experience and guile, they’ve added quality and understanding. That probably sums up Reach’s performance against Barnsley away best.

Best Team Performance of the Month

v Cardiff City (H) 7.78

It was always going to be close – two big wins against Barnsley and the win at Stockport all ranked highly.

Cardiff at home was a huge game, though, one where if they won, that gap would start looking big. These are the days we love, a bit of fog, a chill in the air, Christmas vibes around the ground and a resounding win. Even the turnaround, from 1-0 to 1-1 and then back to 2-1 was thrilling.

Such a great way to welcome in the Christmas period, and you could argue the sort of boost that we leveraged into the current run of form. Outstanding.
