Lincoln City have fewer than 300 new Gold Memberships remaining for the 2026/27 season, with demand soaring as the promotion challenge rumbles on.
Will it be Bromley, or will it be Burnley? Could we be hosting Swindon Town next season, or Tottenham Hotspur? It’s quite a position to be in when realistically, anyone from 13th in the Premier League to 16th in League Two could be dropping by next campaign.
That, along with our recent solid run, has seen supporters respond in huge numbers since Gold Memberships (season tickets to you and me) went on sale, with a significant volume of new purchases helping push sales more than 1,700 ahead of where they stood at the same stage last year. As a result, the club has now confirmed there will be an upper limit on new season tickets for 2026/27.
With fewer than 300 still available, the club are urging anyone considering an upgrade to move quickly. Once the cap is reached, a waiting list will be opened in the event that any existing season ticket holder chooses not to renew for next season.
A waiting list for a Lincoln City season ticket. That’s pure madness.

All current season tickets can retain their existing seat, provided they renew before the end of window two. However, those renewing during the first window will secure the best possible price, with the cost of keeping the same seat set to increase once window one closes.
The surge in demand comes against the backdrop of a hugely positive campaign on the pitch. We are currently on a 16-match unbeaten run in League One, with a ten-point gap between us in the automatic promotion spots, and Bolton Wanderers in third. We also have a game in hand, with just 13 matches remaining.
Our entire away allocation for the recent 2-0 win at Mansfield Town sold out quickly, as did the initial allocation for the upcoming trip to league leaders Cardiff City. We’re set to take 2,500 supporters to Wales next weekend in a huge clash.
For those currently holding Silver or Bronze memberships (not season tickets, to you and I) and weighing up an upgrade, the message is clear. Availability is now limited, and once the remaining places are gone, you might have to go on a waiting list, like the NHS. You might even have to wait as long for an opening as you do on the NHS.
