Freddie Draper ‘might struggle’ for this weekend’s fixture against Blackpool at Sincil Bank.
That’s the view of Imps’ boss Michael Skubala, who was discussing the current injury situation with BBC Radio Lincolnshire journalist Michael Hortin this afternoon.
Freddie limped off as we thrashed Northampton Town 4-0 last week, and was unable to make the squad for our 2-0 win against Mansfield Town at the weekend.
Rumours continue to circulate that he has hurt his hamstring, and those won’t go away with the news that he is unlikely to appear this weekend. Michael Skubala did say they’re not sure what the situation is with him at the minute.
“We’re not sure at the minute,” he said on the club’s YouTube channel. “It’s a strange one and we’ll have to take it week by week.
“He might struggle this weekend and we’ll see how he goes. It’s something we have to monitor.”

Freddie missing would be a huge blow, and another chance for Rob Street to start as a nine, and hopefully replicate some of the form he showed at Doncaster during their unlikely promotion run last season.
Street is likely to be the only one needing to step up, as our head coach did suggest we didn’t have any other major injury concerns, outside of those we already know about.
“We’ve got a couple more days of training, but everyone else is fine. Jacko is back on the grass doing his individual work, which is good news.
“We’re in a good place.”
Adam Jackson has been out since the 2-0 win against Barnsley in the EFL Trophy, and hasn’t appeared in the league since we were beaten 3-0 at Rotherham. When he does return, he’s going to be on of three centre backs vying for a spot on the bench, along with Ryley Towler and Deji Elerewe.

Oscar Thorn is still out, the 21-year-old also, oddly appearing against Rotherham and Barnsley, but not since. James Collins, injured in the EFL Trophy against Huddersfield Town, is another long term absentee, and someone we won’t see back in the squad this season.
Finally, Josh Honohan is also out, Signed in the winter along with Elerewe, he’s one for the future, but someone we do expect to see before the campaign concludes in early May.
