Lincoln City boss Michael Skubala has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award once again after another outstanding run of results.
The Imps’ head coach has been recognised for our performances during February, a month in which City extended their remarkable unbeaten sequence and continued their push at the top end of the League One table. It is the latest acknowledgement of the work Skubala and his squad have produced this season, with the Imps once again among the most in-form teams in the division.
City collected 13 points from a possible 15 across the month, scoring freely while remaining defensively solid. Across those five matches, Lincoln racked up an impressive goal difference of 15-2, underlining both their attacking threat and their organisation at the back.
Perhaps most striking was the spread of contributions throughout the squad. Nine different players found the net during February, highlighting the depth and balance within the side as we continued to gather momentum in the promotion race.
The Imps were particularly ruthless in several fixtures, hitting four goals in victories against Plymouth Argyle, Northampton Town and Blackpool during the month. Those performances helped maintain our strong league position and extended a run that has become one of the most impressive streaks in the division this season.
For Skubala, the nomination also reflects consistency. February marked the third consecutive month in which Lincoln avoided defeat, a remarkable achievement in a fiercely competitive League One campaign where the margins between the promotion contenders remain tight. It’s also the fourth time (or maybe fifth, I lose count, he’s been so good) he has been nominated for Manager of the Month.
However, the City boss faces strong competition for the award. Cardiff City manager Brian Barry-Murphy is also shortlisted after guiding his side through a productive spell despite losing key striker Yousef Salech to injury. In February, Cardiff saw 11 different players score as they collected 12 points from five matches and struck 16 goals.

Plymouth Argyle boss Tom Cleverley is another contender after switching his side to a 4-4-2 system and encouraging a more aggressive pressing style. Argyle’s five games during the month produced 21 total goals, with nine points earned, including a notable 5-2 victory over Cardiff.
Completing the shortlist is AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson. After a difficult period in front of goal earlier in the season, Wimbledon rediscovered their attacking edge during February. Jackson’s side scored 13 goals and picked up 11 points from six matches as they climbed away from danger in the table.
The outcome will be revealed on Friday morning.
