I said watching Lincoln City in the flesh was hard yesterday, and I wasn’t wrong.
As I wrote that article, I knew the Wycombe Wanderers clash, our final home game of the season, was selling out. A mate of mine (who shall remain nameless) was experiencing serious user error, so I bought his ticket for him. That was around 10.15 am, and not long after all the tickets were gone.
That means the club’s buyback scheme is now in place. You may have heard of it; it is where supporters who cannot sit in their seats have the opportunity to return their seats for resale, with the club confirming credits will be applied to accounts if tickets are successfully resold.
The buyback scheme allows Gold season members to release their seats via their ticketing account. If the seat is then purchased by another supporter, credit will be applied to the original ticket holder’s Ticketmaster account, depending on their ticket category.
I’ve never used it myself, but you get credit back on your account, which can then be put towards your season ticket (although you should already have renewed), or maybe away tickets. Adult tickets will return a credit of £11 if resold, concessions will receive £8, juniors £2.50, and family junior tickets £1.50. Gold members in the Rilmac Stand who purchased at the specially reduced Gold membership price will receive £4 if their ticket is resold.

The club’s official comms suggest supporters wishing to list their ticket for resale must log into their We Are Imps account, navigate to the ticketing menu and select the option to manage tickets. From there, they can choose the seat they wish to release and select the ticket exchange option before confirming the transaction.
Be aware: there is a deadline of 1 pm on the day of the match for both posting tickets and for tickets to be purchased through the exchange system. You only get paid if your ticket sells, so the earlier you put it out there, the better. My suggestion would be if you do use the buyback scheme, make sure you splash it on social media, your ticket is going on there, so people know a seat is available for what could (and should) be our final game in League One.
With the game already sold out and promotion edging closer, the Wycombe fixture is shaping up to be another big occasion at the Bank, a carnival atmosphere full of celebration.
