Salech edges closer as Cardiff juggle fitness concerns
Cardiff City have been boosted by the return of Yousef Salech to early training, although several other injury concerns remain ahead of Easter Monday.
Salech has been out since January after suffering a serious neck injury, so his return to group work is an important step even if he is not yet fully ready. Brian Barry-Murphy confirmed the striker is progressing, saying:
“He’s back in the very early stages of training with us.
“He trained for the first time yesterday with the group, so it’s good to have him back.”
Cardiff still have other issues to manage, with Dylan Lawlor needing assessment, Rubin Colwill yet to return to training and Isaak Davies still not quite ready. Barry-Murphy also stressed how close Salech is, adding:
“But he’s very close. Very close.”
