Krisztofer Horváth, Újpest
Krisztofer Horváth feels like the classic “talent versus consistency” debate. On raw output alone, nine goals and eight assists from wide and central attacking positions is extremely attractive, especially given his versatility. He can operate as a left winger, a number ten, or even further forward when needed.
There is already evidence higher-level clubs believed in his ceiling. He earned a move to Italy earlier in his career and made Serie A appearances, but repeated loans back to Hungary raise questions over adaptation and whether he struggled away from home. That uncertainty probably explains why his market value has cooled slightly despite strong production domestically.
The more concerning aspect historically has been his out-of-possession work. Earlier reports questioned his physicality and defensive contribution, although those assessments are now several years old and may no longer apply. Lincoln’s pressing structure demands enormous work without the ball, especially from attacking midfielders and wide players, so that would need close examination.
Personality-wise, there are positives. Horváth overcame cancer as a teenager, which speaks volumes about resilience, and he has already broken into the Hungary national team setup. Players with that sort of background often develop strong mental toughness.
From a pure football perspective, he looks like a player capable of moments others cannot produce. The issue is whether the overall package translates consistently enough to justify the financial commitment.

Well done Jack for your Hat Trick for Eire !
