Birmingham Set Stansfield Price Amid Premier League Interest
Birmingham City are reportedly unwilling to consider offers below £25m for Jay Stansfield, with The Yorkshire Post reporting that Hull City, Sunderland, Everton and Ipswich Town are monitoring the forward.
Stansfield remains one of Birmingham’s most valuable players after helping them win promotion from League One and then contributing again in the Championship. The 23-year-old scored 10 goals and added six assists in 44 league appearances last season.
The Blues paid £15m to sign him from Fulham in 2024, and he is under contract at St Andrew’s until 2031. That leaves Birmingham in a strong position, with no formal bids yet reported.
Hull are among the clubs credited with interest after winning promotion through the Championship play-offs, while Sunderland, Everton and Ipswich have also been named.
Birmingham’s valuation makes any deal difficult, and there appears to be little reason for them to weaken their squad unless a major offer arrives. For now, Stansfield’s long contract and importance to Birmingham mean interested clubs will have to meet a high bar.
