European Interest Emerges In Preston Striker
Preston North End forward Milutin Osmajic is attracting interest from overseas, with Udinese, Genoa and Deportivo La Coruna all linked with the striker.
Osmajic is entering the final year of his Preston contract, which leaves the Lilywhites with a decision to make this summer. Talks are ongoing over a possible extension, and the forward is not thought to be pushing for a move, but a sale has not been ruled out.
The Montenegro international joined Preston from Cadiz in 2023 and has since scored regularly enough to attract attention. The report states he has produced 31 goals and six assists in 109 appearances for North End.
His time at Deepdale has not been without issues. Osmajic has served bans for biting Owen Beck and for discriminatory language towards Hannibal Mejbri, which has made his future a regular talking point among supporters.
Preston’s attacking department is already facing change. Daniel Jebbison and Milos Lukovic are returning to their parent clubs after loan spells, while Will Keane is leaving at the end of his contract. As things stand, Osmajic and Michael Smith are the senior strikers contracted beyond the summer.
That makes the situation more delicate for Heckingbottom. Preston are interested in adding firepower, with Plymouth’s Lorent Tolaj among the names linked, but losing Osmajic before replacements arrive would increase the pressure on recruitment.
A move to Serie A or La Liga would be a significant opportunity for the 26-year-old, but North End must balance that against the need to remain competitive in the Championship.
